SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 4 GB MP3 Player (Black)

I wanted a small player to play books on tape when I am driving or exercising. This fits the bill perfectly. I recently had three good-sized books (about 50 hours total) loaded at once, with memory to spare. And I can double the memory for about $10 at today's prices, or triple the memory for the same price if I wait a little while. Sound quality was fine for my purpose, but I'm not listening to music, so can't say one way or the other about that. Controls take a little learning, since there are only six buttons, but I found it pretty easy to learn, and logical and effective once you do learn it. Battery life is good. My only very minor quibble is that the battery icon doesn't do a good job of showing when you are running out. It looks low, then the player just quits, so I will probably start recharging when it looks half full. Charging is quick. And if you have a charger with a USB plug, it works here, which is great for me, since my car charger for my Motorola phone charges this. - Customer Reviews
